We love baking all breads at the Blue Heron but we are most proud of our sourdough breads.

King Arthur flour, water and sea salt.  These are the foundations of our sourdough breads at the Blue Heron Cafe.  These simple ingredients along with our "over 100 year old" starter are mixed together, fermented and then shaped and baked in a 24 hour process that we do six days a week for our customers.

Some of our favorites are:

  • Country Sourdough - baked free form or in a loaf pan.

  • Whole Wheat - free form or in a loaf pan.

  • Olive Asiago - country sourdough filled with kalamata olives and asiago cheese.

  • Rosemary Bread - made with fresh rosemary and extra virgin olive oil.

  • Cherry Pecan - dried cherries and pecans.

  • Onion Cheddar - spring onions and cheddar cheese.

  • Bleu Cheese & Walnut - filled with bleu cheese and parmesan cheeses and roasted walnuts.

 Hours: Monday-Friday 6:00-4:00; Saturday 6:00-2:00
